Brazilian universities open registration for 2026-2027 entrance exams
Several major Brazilian educational institutions have opened registration for their upcoming entrance exams.
The University of São Paulo (USP), through Fuvest, has opened applications for the 2027 entrance exam. The process offers 8,147 undergraduate vacancies, including specific quotas for public school students and Black, mixed-race, or Indigenous candidates. A notable change for the first stage, scheduled for November 1, is a new format featuring 80 multiple-choice questions. Additionally, Fortaleza (CE) has been included as a testing site to assist students from the Northeast.
The State University of Maringá (UEM) has also opened registrations for its 2026 Summer Entrance Exam and the Serial Assessment Process (PAS), offering a total of 1,576 vacancies. Applications are open until September 23, 2026.
Furthermore, the Etecs (State Technical Schools), managed by Centro Paula Souza, are accepting requests for a 50% registration fee reduction for the first semester of 2027. The deadline for these requests is September 1, with the entrance exam set for December 6.
