University of Southern California appoints Megan Jordan as chief communications officer
University of Southern California (USC) President Beong-Soo Kim has appointed Megan Jordan as the university’s senior vice president and chief communications officer, effective immediately. Jordan has served in an interim capacity in this role since January.
A USC alumna and adjunct instructor at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Jordan previously served as vice president of executive communications and strategic initiatives. In her new permanent role, she aims to unify communications efforts across USC’s 23 schools and health system to better showcase the institution's academic excellence and research impact.
Jordan’s leadership comes as Los Angeles prepares for major global events in 2028 and as the university approaches its 150th anniversary in 2030. She has already established a universitywide Communications Cabinet to foster collaboration among various campus departments.
