University of Southern Indiana offers free pregnancy ultrasounds

The University of Southern Indiana Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is providing free pregnancy ultrasounds to expectant mothers this fall. The program, located on the university's Evansville campus, offers these sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through December 3.

These appointments are intended to provide students with hands-on experience under the supervision of experienced faculty members. The university notes that these are non-diagnostic ultrasounds, meaning they are for educational purposes and are not intended to replace medically necessary prenatal care or diagnostic exams from an OB provider.

To be eligible, expectant mothers must be between 18 and 34 weeks pregnant. Interested individuals can schedule an appointment by emailing the program directly.
