University of Szeged acquires humanoid robot and robot dog

The University of Szeged (SZTE) has expanded its Faculty of Engineering infrastructure with the acquisition of two advanced robotic tools: a Unitree G1 humanoid robot and a Unitree Go2 robot dog.

Supported by the Interdisciplinary Research, Development and Innovation Excellence Center (IKIKK), these devices will be integrated into engineering curricula. Students will utilize them to study Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, kinetic control, and machine vision. The humanoid robot is intended to serve as an open research platform for testing modern algorithms and industrial automation solutions.

The Unitree Go2 robot dog, equipped with LiDAR sensors, is designed for data collection in difficult terrain, testing industrial developments, and autonomous navigation research.
