University of Talca organizes charity football tournament in Linares

The University of Talca is organizing the ‘Copa Solidaria UTalca Educa’, a charity football tournament held at its Linares Campus throughout October. The event features male football selections from seven local educational institutions, including Colegio Alborada, Liceo Instituto Comercial, Colegio Amelia Troncoso, Liceo Diego Portales, Liceo Valentín Letelier, Liceo Lucila Godoy, and Instituto Linares, alongside the UTalca Linares team.

Instead of a monetary registration fee, participating teams will donate non-perishable food items. These donations will benefit the Fundación Rumbos Ágape, a social dining organization in Linares that provides daily food rations and social support to people experiencing homelessness, disabilities, and other forms of vulnerability.

The tournament includes a group stage, with semifinals scheduled for October 26 and the final taking place on October 29.
