University of the Arts London offers free courses for displaced people

The UAL Sanctuary Programme is offering free short courses to individuals with lived experience of displacement. The program is open to people with refugee, asylum, or humanitarian protection statuses, as well as those indirectly affected by displacement through their families.

These courses focus on creative business development and portfolio preparation for art universities. Options include in-person learning at Chelsea College of Arts or Central Saint Martins, as well as online courses accessible globally. This initiative is part of the University of the Arts London’s commitment to becoming a University of Sanctuary by 2028, aiming to create pathways into employment and education for displaced populations.
