University of Theatre and Film Arts appoints new curatorium members

The University of Theatre and Film Arts (SZFE) has appointed new members to its foundation's curatorium. Following a decision by Minister of Education and Children's Affairs Judit Lannert, film scholar András Bálint Kovács has been named president of the curatorium for the Foundation for Theatre and Film Arts.

Other notable appointments include dramaturg and former deputy rector László Upor, a prominent figure in the movement for institutional autonomy, and cultural manager Zoltán Imely. The new board also includes opera singer Gábor Dániel and university teacher Dr. Éva Jeney Zoltánné, both of whom were supported by the university senate.

Additionally, Judit Lannert appointed Éva Mária Balog as the chair of the supervisory board, alongside Erika Huszár and Zsuzsa Zsófia Román. While the new appointments include figures associated with previous institutional leadership and autonomy efforts, the curatorium's operational framework remains limited compared to the university senate.
