University of Tokyo Fair to be held at LaLaport Kashiwanoha

The third University of Tokyo Fair will be held at LaLaport Kashiwanoha from September 26 to 27. This event serves as a pre-event for the public opening of the University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus scheduled for October, aiming to provide local residents with opportunities to engage with science and research.

Activities include special science lectures for children led by professors from the University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus, poster exhibitions of cutting-edge research, and a market selling official university goods.

In collaboration with the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum and Shinchi Town in Fukushima Prefecture, the fair will also feature exhibits on the reconstruction of the Fukushima Hamadori region. This includes storytelling through picture books by Miho Murakami, liquefaction experiments, and a reconstruction support market featuring local specialties.
