University of Tokyo men's volleyball suffers early losses at Seven Universities Meet

The University of Tokyo men's volleyball team faced a challenging start at the 65th National Seven Universities Athletic Meet held in Fukuoka. During the first two days of the competition, the team suffered three consecutive straight-set losses.

On the opening day, the team lost 0-2 to Kyushu University. On the second day, they were defeated 0-2 by Tohoku University, struggling against the opponent's height and offensive pressure. They also lost 0-2 to the defending champion, Hokkaido University, in a closely contested match where late-game errors prevented a comeback.

Team captain Daichi Kai noted that while the team is working to correct errors in critical moments, they aim to find ways to win in the upcoming matches. Ace player Kengo Tamaki expressed a desire to remain competitive against other universities in the tournament.
