Slow running improves brain function, study finds
A new study published in Imaging Neuroscience suggests that just 10 minutes of ultra-slow running can provide immediate benefits to brain function and mood. Led by Professor Hideaki Soya of the University of Tsukuba in Japan, the research highlights the specific biomechanical effects of running that distinguish it from other forms of exercise.
The study involved healthy participants who underwent cognitive tests and mood assessments while monitoring brain activity.
