University of Tuscia and Viterbo Assonautica Sign Marine Conservation Protocol
The University of Tuscia and the Assonautica Provinciale di Viterbo are preparing a protocol of understanding to jointly promote knowledge and protection of the coastal marine environment. The agreement, announced by university professor emeritus Giuseppe Nascetti and Assonautica president Luca Piras, will support initiatives such as the breeding of sea species for coastal repopulation and public outreach.
A guided visit to the Centro Ittiogenico Sperimentale Marino at the Borgo delle Saline in Tarquinia Lido is scheduled for 7 August. The tour, limited to 40 participants and open to anyone interested, will showcase the center’s work on species such as lobsters, mantis shrimp and seahorses, and serve as a platform for scientific dissemination and marine‑environment education.
