University of Urbino hosts international AI and economics workshop
The University of Urbino is hosting an international workshop titled ‘AI in Product, Factor and Financial Markets’ at the Auditorium San Girolamo. The event brings together scholars, central bankers, and public policy experts to analyze how artificial intelligence and digital technologies impact productivity, employment, business performance, and financial markets.
Keynote speakers include Annalisa Ferrando, Senior Lead Economist at the European Central Bank, who will discuss AI adoption and investment in the euro area, and Flavio Calvino, Senior Economist at the OECD, who will address the relationship between AI, productivity, and innovation.
A central highlight of the event is the conferral of the ‘Sigillo d’Ateneo’ to economist Mary O’Mahony of King’s College London, recognizing her distinguished academic career and international research contributions regarding productivity. The workshop features participation from various global institutions, including Bayes Business School, the Bank of England, and the Bank of Italy.
