University of Utah football player Jamal Wallace suspended after arrest

Jamal Lamar Wallace Moore Jr., a defensive lineman for the University of Utah, has been indefinitely suspended from the football program following his arrest.

According to police documents and court filings, Wallace was arrested on October 11 after a woman reported that he had raped her and distributed sexually explicit videos of the encounter. The victim, described as an intermittent dating partner, alleged that Wallace used aggression to force her into sexual acts during a dispute.

While Wallace denied the rape allegations during police interrogations, he reportedly admitted to accessing the victim's mobile device due to jealousy. Authorities discovered explicit material on the device, leading to his arrest on misdemeanor charges related to the non-consensual distribution of intimate images. The videos were allegedly sent to several individuals via Snapchat.

Wallace was released from the Salt Lake County jail after posting $5,000 bail. Utah Athletics confirmed the suspension, stating they take such matters seriously while the legal process continues.
