University of Valparaíso researchers join Luxembourg Academy

Three researchers from the University of Valparaíso and the Milenio CINV Institute have been invited to join the Academy of Science and Arts of Luxembourg (LASA) as Foreign Members in the Life Sciences and Medicine category.

The newly recognized academics are Dr. Angelina Palacios and Dr. John Ewer, both of whom are part of the Master's program in Neuroscience at the University of Valparaíso. They join Dr. Juan Carlos Sáez, the director of Milenio CINV, who received the invitation earlier this year.

The researchers were honored for their contributions to neuroscience, cellular communication, and the study of connexins and panexins, as well as their international scientific collaboration. They are currently the only three Chilean scientists to receive this specific appointment in their field within the LASA network.
