The University of Vermont women's hockey team has been projected to finish sixth in the 2026-27 Hockey East preseason coaches' poll. The Catamounts earned 54 total points in the announcement.

Northeastern was selected as the top team with 89 points, followed by defending champion UConn in second place with 83 points. Boston College was ranked third, while Boston University and Holy Cross tied for fourth.

Vermont's roster for the upcoming season includes seven newcomers, including five first-year players and two transfers: defender Linnea Misner and goaltender Tara Bach.
