University of Vienna maintains position in top 100 global rankings

The University of Vienna has maintained its position in the top 100 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, holding the 95th spot for the second consecutive year. University Rector Sebastian Schütze described the achievement as a result of long-term strategic direction and a positive signal for Austria's scientific and economic landscape. However, he cautioned that budget cuts could jeopardize these gains.

Other Austrian institutions also showed stability or improvement in the latest rankings. The Medical University of Vienna rose one position to 180th. The Graz Medical University was ranked 221st, and the Medical University of Innsbruck placed 239th. The Central European University (CEU) reached 269th. Additionally, TU Graz showed significant improvement, moving from the 601–800 bracket to the 401–450 range.
