University of Virginia prepares for West Virginia matchup

University of Virginia head coach Tony Elliott held a press conference ahead of the upcoming matchup against West Virginia University. Elliott discussed the challenges posed by the Mountaineers' offense and defense, noting the high tempo and the speed of quarterback Michael Hawkins, whom he described as a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

Elliott also highlighted the defensive versatility of West Virginia, noting their ability to shift between 3-4 and five-man front schemes. He emphasized the importance of assignment-sound football and preparation given the shorter preparation window for this game compared to previous weeks.

In conjunction with the press conference, Virginia released its updated week three depth chart. The lineup remains largely consistent with previous weeks, though second-year wide receiver Isaiah Robinson has moved up to the No. 3 X receiver position. The offensive starting lineup features quarterback Beau Pribula and running back Jekail Middlebrook.
