University of Warmia and Mazury opens modernized building

The University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn has officially opened its modernized Faculty of Geoinżynieria building. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Marcin Kulasek, and UWM Rector, Prof. Jerzy Przyborowski.

The comprehensive renovation covered two building sections, including a historic structure, with a total cost of approximately 13.2 million PLN. Funding included a grant of over 2.7 million PLN from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The project involved facade renovation, window replacement, and upgrades to sanitary, electrical, and fire safety installations. Additionally, the facility was adapted for people with disabilities through the installation of a platform and now features new computer laboratories equipped with modern technology.
