University of West Bohemia to host science fair in Plzeň

The University of West Bohemia (ZČU) will host its “Day with ZČU” event at Republic Square in Plzeň on Friday, September 11. The event aims to transform the square into an open-air laboratory featuring approximately forty interactive exhibits from various university faculties and research centers.

Visitors can observe diverse technological and scientific demonstrations, including robot battles, electric formula racing cars, laser technologies, and plasma technology. The program also includes physics and chemistry experiments, presentations on renewable energy, and displays of new developments such as e-textiles. Beyond technical sciences, the event will showcase fields such as emergency medicine, law, social sciences, and archaeology. The day will officially open at 9:00 AM with Rector Miroslav Lávička and conclude at 5:00 PM with a performance by the student symphony orchestra.
