University of Wyoming seeks fan input for new football anthem

The University of Wyoming is seeking fan input to establish a new football tradition at War Memorial Stadium. University President Shane Reeves has used social media to ask fans to select an anthem to be played between the third and fourth quarters of every home game.

While the president jokingly suggested tracks such as ‘Friday’ by Rebecca Black or ‘What Does the Fox Say?’ by Ylvis, head coach Jay Sawvel expressed a preference for ‘Duality’ by Slipknot. Sawvel indicated he intends to have the marketing team play his preferred song during warm-ups regardless of the official selection.

Initial fan feedback on social media suggests a preference for country music, with many supporters calling for songs by local artists like Chris LeDoux, Ian Munsick, and Chancey Williams, or the Toby Keith hit ‘Should’ve Been a Cowboy’.
