University of Wyoming to host Cowboy Kickoff Concert and drone show

The University of Wyoming will host its Cowboy Kickoff Concert on Friday, Sept. 11, in Laramie. The free event, which is open to both students and the public, marks the return of this tradition for the first time since 2018.

Part of the university’s Kickoff Week, the celebration aims to build excitement for the new academic semester and the Cowboys’ home-opening football game against Northern Colorado. The evening will feature a performance by a nationally recognized country music entertainer, local food trucks, and a beer garden for guests of legal age. The event is scheduled to conclude with a 3D drone show at approximately 9 p.m., projecting animated images across the campus.
