University student games held in Paraguay and Chile

Universities in Paraguay and Chile have held or launched major student athletic competitions.

At the Universidad Católica Campus Itapúa, the FEUCCI student federation officially launched the 48th UCI 2026 University Games. The event, scheduled for September 9 to 20, will feature sports, cultural, and artistic activities, including athletics and the selection of Miss UCI 2026. An inaugural night is planned for September 11.

In Chile, the University of Chile concluded its 54th edition of the Student Olympic Games. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEN) emerged as the overall winner, securing 14 medals, including 9 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze. The Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics took second place, while the Juan Gómez Millas Campus finished third.
