University students conduct summer social practice across China
University students across China are conducting various summer social practice activities focused on regional development, cultural heritage, and ideological education.
In Guangdong Province, a team from South China Agricultural University Zhujiang College spent thirteen days in Dahu Town, Shanwei. The team utilized a four-dimensional model involving industry research, documentary filming, multi-media communication, and cultural creative design to support local tourism. They addressed issues such as incomplete facilities and low value-added oyster chains by proposing new tourism routes centered on Mazu culture and mangrove ecology, while also creating a visual identity system and promotional media for the region.
Other academic groups engaged in specialized field studies. In Heilongjiang, students visited the Qiqihar Museum to study integrity culture and the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall to learn about revolutionary history. In Inner Mongolia, students from Harbin Institute of Technology provided educational support and community services in the Oroqen Autonomous Banner. Additionally, a team traveled through Gansu to visit historical sites related to the Long March, nuclear industry heritage, and the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center to connect revolutionary spirit with modern scientific advancement.
