University students in Nicaragua and Bolivia engage in cultural and natural heritage activities

In Nicaragua, students from the Universidad Héroes de San José de las Mulas and Universidad Pueblo Presidente participated in the ‘Raíces Vivas de Nicaragua’ event. The initiative focused on history, culture, and national heritage, featuring representations of the Pacific coast, Caribbean coast, and the north-central region. Through murals, dances, and traditions, students explored the country’s indigenous and Afro-descendant roots to strengthen national identity and prepare tourism professionals to share this heritage with visitors.

In Bolivia, students from the Universidad Central (UNICEN) conducted an academic visit to the Ventanani glacier in the Tuni Condoriri National Park. Held in connection with World Tourism Day, the excursion allowed students of Tourism, Hotel, and Gastronomy Management to observe natural resources directly. The activity aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience, emphasizing the identification, valuation, and management of natural attractions to support the development of Bolivia’s national tourism sector.
