University students launch community service programs in Indonesia
Students participating in community service programs (KKN) in Indonesia are implementing various educational and social initiatives in rural villages.
In Takalar, UIN Alauddin Makassar students at Posko 09 presented four main work programs in Kalenna Bontongape Village. These initiatives focus on health education, digital security, funeral management training, and teaching at Islamic boarding schools. The program aims to build community coordination and provide practical benefits to the local residents.
In Semarang Regency, UPGRIS students introduced basic coding to children in Bejalen Village. The workshop aimed to teach fundamental programming concepts, such as command flows and program logic, in a simple and engaging manner. The goal is to encourage children to view technology as a creative tool for building rather than just a medium for consumption.
