UnlimiTech raises 180 million yen to build AI-driven manufacturing OS

UnlimiTech, a developer of the AI workflow platform ‘DataFlow AI’, has raised approximately 180 million yen in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Genesia Ventures, SMBC Edge, and Delta X1 Investment Limited Partnership.

The company aims to build a ‘manufacturing OS’ by using generative AI to convert the tacit knowledge and expertise of veteran workers into explicit, digital data. This addresses critical challenges in the manufacturing sector, such as labor shortages and the loss of technical know-how due to aging workforces and employee turnover.

DataFlow AI allows onsite personnel to build and modify business workflows using natural language without specialized programming knowledge. The platform integrates three core elements: workflows to automate actions, databases to record activities, and context to formalize decision-making rules.

Ahead of the scheduled January 2026 launch, UnlimiTech is conducting trials and early implementations with several major companies, including Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Tokuyama, ENEOS Materials, and Sammy. The newly raised funds will be used to enhance database and context functions, improve AI orchestration, and strengthen integration with existing production management systems.
