UNLP researchers honored with 2026 Konex Awards

Twenty-two researchers and academics affiliated with the National University of La Plata (UNLP) have been awarded Merit Diplomas at the 2026 Konex Awards. This 47th edition of the ceremony honors the most prominent figures in Argentine Humanities for the decade spanning 2016 to 2025.

The awards cover 21 disciplines, including the exceptional addition of Gender Studies this year. Among the posthumous honors in the “Unforgettables” category are philosopher of science Mario Bunge, psychoanalyst Horacio Etchegoyen, and legal philosopher Ernesto Garzón Valdés.

Other distinguished recipients include specialists in philosophy, logic, ethics, aesthetics, education, sociology, and microeconomics. Notable honorees include Silvia Manzo in the history of science, Carina Kaplan in education, and Gabriel Kessler in sociology.
