UNMA Banten hosts capacity building and Durian Festival for village heads

Universitas Mathla’ul Anwar (UNMA) Banten, in collaboration with the National Youth Agency (KNPI) Pandeglang, hosted a capacity-building event for approximately 350 village heads from the Pandeglang and Lebak regencies. The event, held at the UNMA Banten campus, included a Durian Festival, an MSME bazaar, and a durian contest.

During the event, UNMA Banten Rector Prof. Dr. Andriansyah emphasized the university's commitment to serving as a ‘lighthouse’ for the progress of Banten society through education and community service. He also advocated for expanding the Banten provincial government's ‘One Village, One Graduate’ program to ‘One Village, Five Graduates’ to increase access to higher education.

Pandeglang Vice Regent Iing Andri Supriadi noted the importance of strengthening ties between Lebak and Pandeglang residents. He highlighted that the development of these two regencies is critical to the overall progress of Banten province.
