Unna City hosts climate‑adaptation walking tour

The city of Unna will hold a “climate and sustainability walk” on Wednesday, 5 August 2026 at 4 p.m. The free 2.5‑kilometre tour, organised by the local Consumer Centre and the Environmental Office, aims to show residents practical measures for adapting to higher temperatures, heavy rain and drought. Participants will visit marked stations where examples of everyday climate‑friendly actions—relating to consumption, mobility and social justice—are demonstrated, and they receive brief information “snacks”. The event concludes with an optional swap‑shop for attendees to exchange items, and giveaways such as seed packets and a seasonal shopping calendar are provided.

No registration is required; walkers are advised to wear weather‑appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. The initiative reflects Unna’s effort to translate the increasing climate impacts observed over recent summers into tangible local solutions.
