Unnan City to host Decarbonization Forum 2026

Unnan City will host the ‘Unnan City Decarbonization Forum 2026’ on October 12, 2026, at the Kisuki Economic and Cultural Center. Organized by the Unnan Community Foundation, the event aims to address rising electricity costs and waste management issues caused by extreme weather and climate change.

The forum features two primary speakers: Shuichi Takizawa of the comedy duo Machineguns, a sustainability ambassador appointed by the Ministry of the Environment, and Yuki Wada, a consumer lifestyle and energy-saving advisor. The program includes individual lectures and a cross-talk session designed to connect daily lifestyle defense strategies with environmental activities.

In addition to the lectures, the event will offer indoor and outdoor experience booths. Participation is free and open to the public, with childcare services available upon prior registration.
