Uno-X Mobility manager discusses potential Jonas Vingegaard transfer

Thor Hushovd, manager of the Uno-X Mobility cycling team, has confirmed that contacts have been made regarding a potential future transfer of Jonas Vingegaard. While the Danish two-time Tour de France winner is under contract with Visma | Lease a Bike until the end of 2028, Hushovd admitted that bringing the rider to the Scandinavian-focused team remains a dream.

The primary obstacle to such a move is financial. Vingegaard reportedly earns approximately 5 million euros annually, a figure that would constitute roughly one-quarter of Uno-X Mobility’s estimated 20-million-euro total budget. Hushovd noted that for the project to become viable, the team would likely need to secure a Danish corporate partner interested in associating with the Norwegian-based squad.

Speculation regarding Vingegaard’s future has increased following a season interrupted by a clavicle fracture. While a move to Uno-X is viewed as a long-term possibility that could align with the rider's Scandinavian roots, no immediate transfer is expected.
