Unoeste university sexual ranking investigation
Police in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, are investigating the creation and circulation of a sexual ranking involving female students at the Universidade do Oeste Paulista (Unoeste). The ranking, which included photos taken from students' social media without authorization, featured derogatory sexual evaluations and was distributed within private messaging groups.
Six victims have been identified so far, and five suspects are under investigation by the Women's Defense Police Station (DDM). The university stated it received the complaint on August 20 and is conducting an investigation with priority, noting that institutional sanctions will be applied to those found responsible.
The incident prompted a protest in front of the Unoeste campus by the Frente pela Vida das Mulheres, a local women's rights collective, to denounce the objectification and violence against women within the university environment.
