UNP ordered to restore security for Angie Rodríguez

The Administrative Tribunal of Cundinamarca has ordered the National Protection Unit (UNP) to transitively restore the security detail for Angie Rodríguez. This decision follows a legal action taken by the former manager of the Adaptation Fund.

While the UNP conducts a new security study to determine the necessary measures for Rodríguez’s current situation, the entity must maintain her previous protection scheme to mitigate identified risks. Rodríguez left her position at the Adaptation Fund on July 31 after being declared unsubstantiated by President Gustavo Petro, following her allegations of irregularities within the government.
