Unrelated criminal incidents reported in Nigeria

In Enugu State, police have detained a 28-year-old suspect for allegedly robbing a female Point-of-Sale (POS) operator of N200,000 at gunpoint in Obollo-Afor. Following a report of the robbery on October 17, police operatives and members of a Neighbourhood Watch Group arrested the suspect. Authorities recovered a Beretta-like pistol and an expended 9mm ammunition shell during the operation. The suspect has reportedly confessed to the crime.

In a separate incident in Edo State, a POS operator has raised concerns regarding a demand for a N60,000 refund. A man claimed he mistakenly transferred the funds to her account eight months prior. The situation escalated when a community security officer allegedly ordered the arrest of the operator's employee to facilitate the matter. The operator is currently disputing the claim after reviewing her transaction records.
