Unrelated incidents reported in Czechia

Two separate incidents have been reported in the Czech Republic. In Otročín, a football match was interrupted by a sudden collapse, raising concerns regarding the adequacy of current medical screenings for athletes. Dr. Miroslav Kolesár, a cardiac surgeon at Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem, noted that standard examinations, such as EKGs, may not detect all hidden heart defects or predict future cardiac events. He suggested that more advanced tests, like echocardiography, might be necessary for certain individuals.

In České Budějovice, a child was rescued after a stroller slid into the Vltava river near the Budvar Arena. The child's mother attempted to retrieve the stroller from the water, and Pavel Vlašic, a custodian at the Banes Motor České Budějovice hockey club, assisted in pulling the stroller to safety and provided towels to warm the child. Emergency services treated the child, who was conscious and in stable condition, before transporting them to a hospital.
