Unrivaled returns to Brooklyn for 2027 regular-season showcase

The professional 3x3 women’s basketball league, Unrivaled, has announced it will return to Brooklyn for its third season. On January 22, 2027, four clubs will compete in a regular-season showcase at the Barclays Center.

The decision to return to New York follows a successful semifinal playoff visit last season, which saw a sold-out crowd of over 18,000 fans. Commissioner Micky Lawler described the return as a “no-brainer” due to the high demand and energetic reception from the local fanbase.

As part of its expansion strategy, league president Alex Bazzell noted that the league intends to play four times as many road venues this season compared to the previous year. The New York games are scheduled to be simulcast on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max. To support the local fanbase, the league has also partnered with Manhattan sports bar Wilka’s to host viewing events throughout the upcoming season.
