UNSE medical graduate secures pediatric residency at Garrahan Hospital

Inti Cam Esperguin Gómez, a graduate of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Santiago del Estero (UNSE), has secured a pediatric residency at the Hospital de Pediatría Dr. Juan P. Garrahan in Buenos Aires.

Following the national medical residency exam, Esperguin Gómez achieved a score of 88 out of 100, ranking ninth in the merit order among 248 applicants. Having completed his medical studies in May 2025 with a general average of 89 points, he aims to utilize the training received at the prestigious Garrahan hospital to eventually contribute to the healthcare system in Santiago del Estero.

The achievement is noted as a milestone for the UNSE medical program, which began offering degrees in 2016. Esperguin Gómez stated that his goal is to learn from a leading Latin American institution to bring advanced knowledge back to his home province.
