Unsko-Sanski Canton approves 1.55 million KM for small businesses
The Government of Unsko-Sanski Canton has approved significant funding to bolster local economic development and transportation infrastructure. A total of 1.55 million KM has been allocated to support newly established small businesses. Due to high demand, the Ministry of Economy increased the original budget from 1 million KM to ensure that all 172 qualified applicants receive funding, up from the 98 projects originally planned.
In terms of transportation, the government is establishing a regular railway line between Bihać and Bosanska Otoka, running from September 1 to December 31, 2026. Additionally, a 250,000 KM subsidy has been granted to Željeznice Federacije BiH to co-finance passenger rail traffic, including the extension of the tourist train through the end of September.
Further support was approved for the EKOBIS International Ecology Fair, with an additional 35,000 KM allocated to the Chamber of Economy of Unsko-Sanski Canton, bringing the total ministry support for the event to 85,000 KM.
