UNTER union presents educational and labor demands to Río Negro Governor

José Luis Burgos, Secretary General of the UNTER union in Sierra Grande, met with Río Negro Governor Alberto Weretilneck to present several labor and infrastructure demands. Key issues included the restoration of the Teacher Housing Fund and the ongoing process to award 59 plots of land to education workers.

Burgos also addressed capacity concerns at CET Nº 12, noting that over 130 students have applied for only 105 spots, which could result in a lottery for more than 30 applicants. He requested that the Ministry of Education review these quotas to ensure technical students can access the modality.

Additional demands focused on school infrastructure, teacher housing in local areas, and connectivity issues at the Escuela de Ventana. The union leader also raised concerns regarding declining enrollment in early childhood education, which may impact the organization of classrooms and teaching positions in local kindergartens.
