Until Dawn 2 set for PlayStation 5 release on January 28, 2027

Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Firesprite have announced that Until Dawn 2 will launch on PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2027. The announcement was made during a recent State of Play showcase.

Moving away from the original setting of Blackwood Mountain, the sequel follows the Dead True crew—a group of paranormal investigators—as they travel to the remote Akishima Island in the South Pacific. The narrative will feature a branching story where player decisions and character relationships directly influence survival outcomes. AdHoc Studio, the developers of Dispatch, collaborated on the game's story to provide a deeply layered experience.

Pre-orders for both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions are scheduled to begin on September 10, 2026. The Digital Deluxe Edition will include the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack and a Diorama of Death feature. Peter Stormare is confirmed to return as the character Dr. Hill. Additionally, developers confirmed that a physical disc version will be available for the PlayStation 5 release.
