Unusual warmth recorded in Twin Cities and Rochester
Recent weather reports indicate record-breaking temperatures in parts of the United States. In the Twin Cities, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reported that temperatures reached 90 degrees on both October 10 and 11. This marks the first time in 154 years of records that the area has experienced two 90-degree days in October.
In Rochester, New York, temperatures tied a record high of 76 degrees on October 29, a level not seen on that date since 1896. A cold front is expected to move through the eastern Great Lakes, bringing scattered showers and cooler temperatures to Western New York. Forecasts indicate a shift to breezy conditions and lower temperatures through the weekend.
