Unwell launches ‘Unwell Summer Games’ YouTube series

Alex Cooper’s media company, Unwell, has announced the launch of ‘Unwell Summer Games,’ a YouTube competition series scheduled to premiere on September 7. Following the success of the ‘Unwell Winter Games,’ which reached up to 1.8 million views per episode, the new summer installment will feature 16 reality stars, creators, and internet personalities.

The series will be filmed over four days at a ranch in Canada. Participants, including alumni from shows such as ‘Love Island,’ ‘Perfect Match,’ and ‘Too Hot to Handle,’ will compete for a $250,000 cash prize. The production is executive produced by Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan, Mina Lefevre, and Eric Detwiler.

Adam Waheed will host the series, with commentary provided by Cameron Gerrard and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Matt Kaplan, Co-CEO of Unwell, stated that the move aims to meet audiences across multiple platforms with original formats designed for YouTube.
