UPCN union challenges government digital innovation project

The UPCN union has expressed opposition to a digital innovation project proposed by the Executive branch, which is currently under discussion in the Chamber of Deputies. While the union stated it does not oppose digital modernization or artificial intelligence, it criticized the lack of regulation and the potential accumulation of power within the Secretariat of Modernization.

Union leadership emphasized that the current proposal fails to address worker rights in digital environments or the functional reorganization of agencies. They have called for a deep review of the law to ensure clear control mechanisms, similar to those in other provinces. To address these concerns, UPCN will meet with the Secretary of Modernization, Emanuel Gainza, and the Legal and Technical Secretary, Esteban Vitor.
