Upcoming 2026 rally events announced in Morocco and Spain

The 2026 Rally de Marruecos, a key event in the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), is scheduled to begin on September 28, 2026, in Agadir. The race will span five stages between Agadir and Zagora, featuring sand, dunes, and rocky terrain. As a major precursor to the Dakar Rally, the event serves as a critical testing ground for teams and drivers, including Carlos Sainz, to refine navigation and mechanical reliability.

In Spain, the 61st RallyRACC Catalunya–Costa Daurada will take place on October 16 and 17, 2026. This event serves as the final scoring round for the 2026 Super Campeonato de España de Rally (S-CER). Unlike previous editions that offered mixed terrain options, this year's rally will be held entirely on asphalt stages, starting and ending in Salou and PortAventura World.
