Upcoming regional athletic and multisport competitions

The XXIV edition of the Cross Popular Virgen de los Frutos – Memorial Andrés Herrero is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, in Sax. This traditional athletic event features an urban course and includes a 5-kilometer absolute category race. The competition is designed for various ages and levels, serving as a community event to promote sports and social interaction.

In Patagonia, the Tetratlón Chapelco 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 29, in San Martín de los Andes. The multidisciplinary race covers approximately 85 kilometers across Cerro Chapelco, Lanín National Park, and San Martín de los Andes. The competition consists of four stages: 15 kilometers of skiing, 44 kilometers of mountain biking, 10 kilometers of kayaking on Lake Lácar, and a final 15-kilometer run through forests and streets.
