Upcoming Soulslike video games feature diverse new mechanics

Several upcoming Soulslike video games are preparing for release, offering diverse gameplay mechanics and settings.

Crimson Moon, scheduled for release on September 1, combines Soulslike elements with roguelite mechanics. Set in the gothic city of Gildenarch, the game features a two-player co-op mode and a skill system involving Weapon Arts. It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

False Hero is an indie title set for release on October 1. It features a unique mechanic where players steal and combine skills from defeated enemies to create combat combos.

Valor Mortis, arriving on October 13, utilizes a first-person perspective and a 19th-century Napoleonic Eastern European setting.

Additionally, Guns of Eschaton, developed by Eschatology Entertainment, introduces a first-person shooter approach to the genre. Set in an apocalyptic ‘weird west’, the game emphasizes realistic 19th-century firearm mechanics, such as manual hammer cocking and individual shell ejection, which adds significant difficulty to combat.
