Upcoming sporting events scheduled in León and Durango

Two major sporting events are scheduled for late 2026 in Mexico. In León, the Plaza de Toros La Luz will host two bullfighting celebrations. The first event is set for November 28 at 5:00 PM, featuring Diego Silveti, Armillita IV, and Roca Rey, with livestock from the Villa Carmela ranch. The second event, a mixed corrida in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe, will take place on December 11 at 8:00 PM, featuring El Payo, David de Miranda, Héctor Gutiérrez, and Olga Casado.

In Durango, boxer Miguel Ángel “Piolín” Martínez is scheduled to fight Alan Nahuel Boncompagni on November 21 at the Palenque de la Feria Nacional de Durango. The match, titled “La Búsqueda Continúa,” is for the WBC welterweight international title. Martínez enters the bout with an undefeated record of four wins. To support the local athlete, the State Institute of Sports (IED) is distributing 2,000 free tickets to the public.
