UPESSC announces recruitment for 1,936 Assistant Professor posts

The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the recruitment of 1,936 Assistant Professors for co-educational and women’s degree colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

The online application process opened on September 8 and is scheduled to close on October 7, 2026. Candidates have until October 11 to utilize the application correction window. The recruitment examination is set to take place on November 19 and 20, 2026.

Of the total vacancies, 1,564 positions are for co-educational colleges and 372 are for women’s colleges. Subject-specific openings include Hindi (126), English (74), Economics (79), Chemistry (112), and Mathematics (31), among many others. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement Number 04/2026.
