UPL requests installation schedule for Alcañices X-ray equipment

The political group Unión del Pueblo Leonés (UPL) has formally requested that the Junta de Castilla y León provide a specific timeline for the installation of new X-ray equipment at the Aliste Health Center in Alcañices.

While the regional government has announced a planned renovation for 2027, UPL representative Alicia Gallego González has submitted a parliamentary question to clarify exactly when the new robotic digital radiology technology will be operational. The upgrade aims to replace current devices with more precise and faster digital systems.

UPL emphasizes that local diagnostic capabilities are vital for the Aliste region, a rural and dispersed area. Providing these services locally would prevent residents from having to travel to Zamora for radiological tests.
