UPNA ticket sales for Carpa Universitaria cause chaos and police intervention

Tension and disorder broke out at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) in Pamplona during the in-person sale of tickets for the Carpa Universitaria. Large crowds of students gathered at the El Sario building, leading to disputes over queue positions, shoving, and traffic disruptions in the surrounding area.

The situation escalated to the point where private security requested assistance from the Policía Foral. Officers from the Citizen Security and Intervention Group (GOI) intervened to manage the crowds and eventually evacuated individuals once it was determined that no more tickets were available. The incident also triggered alarms within the El Sario building, causing a partial evacuation that disrupted ongoing examinations and affected faculty members.

Following these security concerns, organizers have canceled the scheduled in-person ticket sale in Tudela. Instead, all remaining tickets will be made available exclusively through an online platform.
